Recognising and understanding the above scenario, together with having run a successful national property brand on the North Coast for over 10 years and personally scooping top national sales and marketing awards, was the catalyst that guided both committed directors, Tim Johnson and Graham White, to form Local Real Estate. Both share a passion for People and Property realised they wanted to be part of a business born from thorough research and well thought-out product development that not only would be tailored to homeowner and investor needs, but would also contribute to this area's ongoing economic growth.

Tim Johnson - Founder and Principal.

Tim Johnson has gained over 15 years of marketing and advertising experience after completing a Management degree from Rhodes University. Being born and raised on the North Coast as a part of the well-known Ladlau family who previously owned and farmed what is now Simbithi Eco Estate, Tim can confidently attribute to being a local. Tim initiated his marketing career when he formed his own Brand Consultancy in Johannesburg specialising in Property and Destination Marketing. With over 8 years in the game, and with a string of Golf Estates, Property Developments, Hotels and Restaurants under his belt, Tim decided to move back to the North Coast with his family to appreciate a balanced lifestyle and pursue other opportunities. On his return to the Ballito an opportunity arose to join his father who jointly owned a well-known national brand property business. As a fully qualified realtor, and armed with several post graduate Leadership and Business Courses, Tim has built a formidable resume in a variety of property and development related arenas, has sat on Top Realty National Marketing Committee, led and facilitated national workshops on sales and marketing for property developments and is now also involved in driving Tourism strategies and initiatives in the Midlands area. Tim's entrepreneurial approach led him to launch Local Real Estate over a year ago, initially operating in the Midlands area and Zimbali Coastal Estate, and is thrilled to have grown both the team and the business to now incorporate The North Coast and beyond.

Graham White - Managing Director.

Graham White has enjoyed a successful 20 year career as both a top performing sales agent and a manager both in the UK and South Africa. After completing Accounting and Financial Management at the University of Sheffield UK, Graham spent 12 years in London selling property for the renowned Foxton's Realty Company. Having married a South African, whom he met in London, Graham relocated to South Africa four years ago and joined a national brand on the North Coast, where he worked for 8 years working his way up from selling in Salt Rock and Simbithi Eco Estate - where he achieved record sales and the highest sales prices in Simbithi Eco Estate for two consecutive years and was awarded the top sales agent for the KZN Region in 2018. Graham then took over the reins as Sales Director and for nearly 3 years led a team of over 20 Property Professionals. This branch, under the guidance and leadership of Graham consistently sat within the top 5 agencies nationally, producing exceptional sales figures and also growing the business exponentially year on year. One of Graham's key strengths is training, which he is passionate about, sharing his valuable experience and insights. Through continuous training improvement programmes, Graham has built, and will continue to do, a highly competent and cohesive team of property professionals who will remain relevant and committed to their local client's needs, impart relevant local insights, and drive not only their success but be champions for the local area.
